** COLUMBIA SWIM CLUB 2009 SWIM-A-THON** Its time for the annual Swim-a-thon!  What is the Swim-a-thon?  The CSC Swim-a-thon is a HUGE fund raiser for the club and Swim-a-thon funds are used to DIRECTLY help the swimmers!!   Here are some examples of swim-a-thon purchases: Fins for Barracudas Lane Line spools Dryland Equipment Pace Clocks Teaching tools Educational Materials for Coaches Video equipment Pool Rental Fees In addition, raising funds through the swim-a-thon help to keep our membership fees some of the LOWEST FEES in Missouri Valley or Ozark Regions! All CSC swimmers are expected to participate in the fundraising and swimming.  The Swim-a-thon will be held on SATURDAY JUNE 27 at MU.  Time of the Swim-a-thon is tentatively scheduled for 9:00-11:30AM.  Fundraising packets will be handed out at practice this week.   And remember, for each level of money raised, there will be exciting prizes (TBA).  SWIM-A-THON DETAILS: Swimmers will be assigned to the either the Gold Team or Black Team.  The Gold Team will consist of swimmers whose last names that start with the letters A to L. The Black Team will consist of swimmers whose last names that start with the letters M to Z. Swimmers must provide their own lap counter!!! Checks made payable to CSC!!! All money is DUE BY July 18, 2009   PRIZES LEVELS FOR FUNDS RAISED: $150 Tier One (Official Swim-a-thon T-shirt) $250 Tier Two (TBA) $400 Tier Three (TBA) $500 Tier Three (TBA) plus USA Swimming Prizes! **If Either Team Raises $10,000, the participants of that team will receive a FREE Shakespeares Pizza Party!!!**   **TOTAL SWIM-A-THON GOAL for 2009: $20,000**
